Letterkenny Chamber was the lead organisation in securing Community-Based CCTV for Letterkenny in 2006. The Chamber work closely with An Garda Siochana and Letterkenny Town Council on this project which means that the town will have CCTV for the first time ever. The CCTV project is funded by Pobal.

CCTV compliments existing crime preventions measures in the town and will ensure that Letterkenny is a safe place to live, work, shop and socialise.
